Second Sight® technology is based on the use of a micro-bolometer device, which allows a real-time and continuous visualization of dangerous gas cloud, generally impossible to see at naked eye
It relies on differential absorption of gases in the IR spectrum. Indeed, Second Sight® can detect gas which presents absorption bands from 7 to 14 µm.
The equipment continuously analyses the absorption of the scene compared with the background
Second Sight® MS is able to detect several classes of chemicals: nerve or blister gases as Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) and precursors, ammonia, ethylene oxide, and Toxic Industrial Compounds (TIC)
